
Connect your Dropbox to Squarespace: A Step-by-Step Guide
Connect Dropbox to display your images on your Squarespace site with these simple steps.
Connect Your Dropbox Account
- Open Connected Accounts panel
- Click Connect Account
- Choose Dropbox from Social Accounts
- Log in with your Dropbox credentials
- Click Allow
Set Up Dropbox Folders
- Access your Dropbox account
- Navigate to /Apps/Squarespace/
- Create a folder named with your Account ID (found in your built-in domain)
- Inside this folder, create separate folders for each gallery page
- Add your images to these folders
Supported File Types:
- .png
- .jpg
- .gif
Note: Add underscore (_) before filenames to exclude them from syncing.
Publish Gallery Pages
- Return to Connected Accounts panel
- Click "Publish to Squarespace" under Dropbox
- Find new gallery pages in Not linked section
- Drag pages to navigation menus as needed
Sync Updates
To update your galleries after making changes:
- Open Connected Accounts panel
- Click "Publish to Squarespace" under Dropbox
Important:
- Changes in Dropbox folders reflect on your site after syncing
- Deleting folders/content removes them from your site
- For large file uploads, wait a few minutes if sync fails
- Refresh gallery page to confirm successful sync
