Adding Swiftype Search to Your Squarespace Site

Swiftype adds powerful search functionality to your public Squarespace site. You can add one search field per page using this third-party service.

Set Up Your Swiftype Engine:

1. Log into Swiftype and select "Create A New Engine"
2. Input your website URL and verify it
3. Wait for site crawling to complete
4. Name your search engine and click "Create engine"
5. Select "Complete Setup"
6. Click "Install Search"
7. Customize your search field settings
8. Click "Activate Site Search"
9. Save both the install code and search field code

Implementation Steps:

Add Install Code:

1. In Squarespace, open Code Injection panel
2. Paste the Swiftype install code in the Header field
3. Save changes

Add Search Field:

1. Choose the page for your search field
2. Insert a Code Block at desired location
3. Paste the search field code
4. Save and publish changes
