Connect your Bluehost domain to Squarespace by following these simple steps:

Prerequisites:

• A domain registered with Bluehost
• A Squarespace site
• Access to both Bluehost and Squarespace accounts

Step 1: Start the Connection in Squarespace

1. Go to Domains panel
2. Click "Use a domain I own"
3. Enter your domain name
4. Click "Connect domain"
5. Select Bluehost from the dropdown
6. Click "Continue"
7. Keep the DNS settings panel open for reference

Step 2: Access Bluehost DNS Settings

1. Log into Bluehost
2. Find your domain under "Domains"
3. Go to Advanced Tools
4. Click "Manage" next to Advanced DNS Records
5. Click "Continue" in the popup

Step 3: Add First CNAME Record

• Host: [unique code from Squarespace]
• Type: CNAME
• Points to: verify.squarespace.com
• Leave TTL at default

Step 4: Add Second CNAME Record

• Host: www
• Type: CNAME
• Points to: ext-cust.squarespace.com
• Leave TTL at default

Step 5: Add Four A Records Create four separate A records with these settings:

• Host: @
• Type: A
• Points to (one for each record):
  • 198.185.159.144
  • 198.185.159.145
  • 198.49.23.144
  • 198.49.23.145
• Leave TTL at default

Important Notes:

• Don't delete Mail/Email records
• Connection takes 24-72 hours
• Monitor progress in Squarespace DNS Settings
• Green labels indicate successful connection
• Final status will show "Connected" in Domains panel

Troubleshooting:

• Use DNS checker tool if you see "Can't verify domain ownership"
• Wait 72 hours before investigating errors
• Contact Bluehost support for account-specific issues
