How to Create and Manage a Blog with Squarespace: Complete Guide
Blog posts in Squarespace are organized into two key components: Blog Pages (landing pages displaying multiple posts) and individual Posts (each with its own URL).
Adding a Blog Page (Version 7.1):
- Open Pages panel and click + icon
- Select Blog from Collections
- Choose a layout
- Enter page title and press ENTER
- Customize settings like posts per page and SEO options
Creating a New Post:
- Open Pages panel
- Click blog page
- Click + in sidebar
- Enter post title (max 200 characters)
- Add content using Text Block and other elements
Editing Post Settings:
- Featured Image
- Excerpt
- Post URL
- Author
- Tags and Categories
- Comments
- SEO settings
- Social sharing options
- Location
Mobile Editing via Squarespace App:
- Tap More → Pages → blog
- Tap + to create new post
- Enter title and content

- Save changes
Post Publishing Options:
- Save as draft
- Schedule for later
- Publish immediately

- Send as email campaign
Note: Blog posts use the classic editor, not the Fluid Editor. Multiple blog pages can exist on one site, and each post has its own dedicated URL.
