How to Import Products from CSV Files
Use our CSV importer to efficiently add or edit products in bulk. Here's a comprehensive guide:
CSV File Requirements
- Version 7.1: Import up to 10,000 products
- Version 7.0: Import up to 200 products
- Both versions: Up to 250 variants per product
- CSV must match site's existing store page URL slug and categories
Importing Products: Step-by-Step

Download the CSV template:
- For moving products: Click "Export all" in Products panel
- For new products: Click Import > Download CSV template

Format your CSV properly:
- Use a spreadsheet editor (Excel/Google Sheets)
- Maintain required column structure
- Follow formatting requirements for each field

- Import the file:
- Click Import in Products panel
- Drag and drop your CSV file
- Review results and fix any errors

Key Formatting Rules
- Product URLs: Use dashes between words, no spaces
- Categories: Must match existing site categories
- Images: Use direct image URLs ending in .jpg, .png, etc.
- Prices: Numbers and decimals only
- Variants: Add new row for each option combination
Limitations
- Physical and service products only
- Can't import customers or subscriptions
- Can't schedule products via import
- Featured images must be set manually
- Print-on-demand products need manual reconnection
Troubleshooting Tips
- Verify URL slugs match your store
- Ensure categories exist before importing
- Check image URL protocols (http:// vs https://)
- Remove special formatting (bullets, links)
- Use correct CSV template for your version
For platform-specific imports from Shopify, Etsy, or BigCartel, use dedicated import tools instead of CSV.
