Registration Requirements
Entity Information:
- Entity name must match ABN or ACN documents
- Valid Australian Business Number (ABN) or Australian Company Number (ACN)
- Entity type selection (Company, Partnership, Sole trader, etc.)
Additional Requirements:
- Australian address is mandatory
- Business/organization documentation
- Trademark information (if applicable)
Important Features
Payment and Expiration:
- 30-day grace period after expiration
- No refunds available
- No 5-day cancellation grace period
Domain Management:
- Cannot transfer .au or .com.au domains to Squarespace
- Can transfer away from Squarespace anytime (no 60-day lock)
- Whois privacy not available
Updating Domain Information:
- Download owner forms
- Complete required documentation
- Submit through customer support
- New registration year begins upon changes
- Previous registration time is forfeited
Note: Changing domain information requires a new registration fee and transfers domain ownership.
Failed Payment Process:
- First attempt: 15 days before expiration
- Additional attempts: Every 5 days until expiration
- Domain expires if payment unsuccessful
- 30-day grace period for reactivation
