How to Report Malware to Protect Your Squarespace Domain
When you're starting with Squarespace, you can purchase a domain before creating a website. Your domain will connect to a clean, ad-free placeholder page until you're ready to build your site.
Your placeholder page features a minimalist design with your domain name centered and a Squarespace logo in the corner. While you can't customize this temporary page, it securely holds your domain.
To purchase a domain:
- Visit domains.squarespace.com
- Search for available domain names
- Select your desired domain and add to cart
- Complete registration and verify purchase
- Verify your domain within 15 days via email
