• Domain must have supported TLD (check Squarespace's supported list)
• Cannot transfer premium registry domains or domains with 9+ years registration

• One year registration fee required (varies by TLD)
• Includes free Whois Privacy and SSL
• Transfer takes 1-15 days depending on current registrar
• Existing registration time carries over plus additional year

Transfer Process Steps:

1. Prepare domain with current registrar:

   • Unlock domain
   • Get authorization code
   • Verify admin email address

2. Start transfer on Squarespace:

   • Go to domains.squarespace.com
   • Click "Transfer a Domain"
   • Enter domain name
   • Create account or login

3. Complete transfer details:

   • Enter authorization code
   • Verify contact information
   • Review and confirm registration terms
   • Make payment

4. Monitor transfer status:

   • Check domain status regularly
   • Fix any error messages promptly
   • Review DNS settings if needed

Important Notes:

• Keep existing MX records if using custom email
• Don't add Google Workspace until transfer completes
• Some country-code domains (ccTLDs) have special requirements
• Contact current registrar if transfer exceeds 15 days
• Domain will auto-renew at same price after registration period

After transfer completion, domain will show "Managed by Squarespace" with green label in your dashboard.
