Publish your Squarespace blog content directly to Apple News to expand your audience reach. This integration allows your blog posts to appear alongside major publications in the Apple News app.

Prerequisites:

• iOS 9 or later
• Available in US, Australia, and UK
• Active iCloud account
• Apple News account

Setup Process:

1. Get API Access

• Log into Apple News Publisher (www.icloud.com/#newspublisher)
• Click "Connect CMS" then "API Key"
• Save the three provided codes (especially the secret code)

2. Connect Squarespace

• Access your site's Pages panel
• Select your blog page
• Under Sources tab, click "Connect Account" in Apple News section
• Enter the three API codes
• Save to sync your 20 most recent posts

3. Submit for Approval

• Go to Apple News Publisher
• Navigate to Articles > Drafts
• Click "Submit for Approval"
• Wait for approval email from Apple

4. Publish Content

• After approval, go to Articles > Drafts
• Click "Publish All"
• New blog posts will automatically sync
• To sync older posts, simply open and resave them

5. View Your Channel

• Open News app on iOS device
• Search for your blog name
• Tap the + icon to add to favorites

Content Display Features:

• Featured images become banners
• Text formatting is simplified
• Gallery images display vertically or as carousels
• Videos support YouTube and Vimeo URLs
• Supported blocks: Text, Image, Video, Audio, Line, Quote, Gallery, Markdown, Select embeds

Management Options:

• Connect multiple blogs to one channel
• Create multiple channels with one iCloud account
• Update channel name and featured image in Publisher settings
• Disconnect blogs through Squarespace Sources tab

Content automatically syncs between platforms, though updates may experience slight delays. For technical issues, contact Apple News support directly.

Troubleshooting:

• Allow time for posts to appear (can take several hours)
• Updates sync automatically but may be delayed
• Content created in Apple News won't appear on Squarespace
• Some formatting and content blocks may not display in Apple News
