Activating and deactivating your pages helps control visibility to visitors and search engines. When you create a new page, it's automatically activated and visible. Here's how to manage page visibility effectively:

Automatic Page Deactivation

Pages may be automatically deactivated when:

  • Importing content from other services (blogs, products)
  • Exceeding page limits on legacy billing plans

How to Activate a Page

  1. Access the Pages panel
  2. Hover over target page
  3. Click to open page settings
  4. Deselect "Enable page"
  5. Click Save

How to Deactivate a Page

  1. Access the Pages panel
  2. Hover over target page
  3. Click to open page settings
  4. Disable the "Enable page" button
  5. Click Save

Important Considerations

  • Deactivating collection pages also deactivates individual items within
  • Store page deactivation prevents new purchases but doesn't remove items from existing carts
  • Portfolio sub-pages cannot be deactivated individually
  • Dropdown menus cannot be deactivated directly

Alternative Visibility Options

  1. Off Navigation:
  • Keep page active but hidden from navigation
  • Page remains accessible via direct URL
  1. Password Protection:
  • Maintain page visibility in navigation
  • Restrict access to specific visitors
  1. Noindex Tag:
  • Keep page active for visitors
  • Hide from search engine results

When deactivated, pages remain visible in your Pages panel while logged in but are hidden from public view and search engines. Choose the visibility option that best matches your needs while maintaining desired functionality.
