Physical, digital, services, and gift cards are the four main product types available in Squarespace Commerce. You can sell these as one-time purchases or subscriptions through Boutique pages, which serve as searchable product collections.

Store Organization

Products are organized through:

• Boutique pages: Collection pages showing product previews
• Product Information pages: Detailed pages for individual items

Adding Products

1. Create a Boutique page:

• Open Pages panel
• Click + icon
• Select Boutique
• Choose layout

2. Add products:

• Click + in Boutique page
• Select product type
• Fill in required details:
  • Name
  • Images
  • Price
  • Inventory
  • Description
  • Variants (if applicable)

Product Information

Essential details to include:

• Product images
• Pricing
• Description
• Inventory tracking
• Shipping details
• Tax information
• Marketing details

Additional Features

• Schedule product launches
• Create custom forms
• Set up subscriptions
• Enable limited availability tags
• Add size charts
• Duplicate products

Limitations

• Version 7.1: Up to 10,000 products per site
• Version 7.0: 200 products per Boutique page
• 250 variants per product
• Product images must be under 5MB
• Digital products limited to 300MB

The cart icon displays automatically and updates as customers add items. Customize its appearance and functionality through site header settings.
