Requirements

• Your site must be published and public
• Only one Swiftype search field per page is allowed

Set Up Swiftype Engine

1. Log into Swiftype and click "Create A New Engine"
2. Enter your website URL and verify it
3. Wait for site crawling to complete
4. Name your search engine and click "Create engine"
5. Click "Complete Setup" followed by "Install Search"
6. Customize the search field appearance
7. Click "Activate Site Search"
8. Copy both the install code and search field code

Add Code to Squarespace

Install Code:

1. Go to Squarespace Code Injection settings
2. Paste the install code into the Header field
3. Save changes

Search Field:

1. Navigate to your desired page
2. Add a Code Block where you want the search to appear
3. Paste the search field code into the block
