Before connecting an IONOS domain to Squarespace, ensure you meet all third-party domain connection requirements. The process takes about 72 hours to complete.

Connect Your Domain in 3 Steps

Step 1: Start Squarespace Connection

1. Go to Domains panel
2. Click "Use a custom domain"
3. Enter your domain name
4. Click "Connect domain"
5. Select IONOS from dropdown
6. Click "Connect domain" again
7. Select "Continue"

Step 2: Approve IONOS Connection

1. Log in to IONOS in the pop-up window
2. Click "Connect" to confirm
3. Wait for confirmation message
4. Click "Continue" in Squarespace

Step 3: Wait for Completion

• Connection takes 24-72 hours
• Monitor progress in DNS Settings
• Look for green labels in Current Data column
• Domain shows "Connected" when ready

Troubleshooting Tips

If you see an IONOS error message:

1. Verify you're using IONOS default nameservers
2. Log out of IONOS completely
3. Try manual domain connection
