Dropbox can help showcase your images on Squarespace by syncing your photo folders directly to gallery pages. Here's how to set it up and manage the connection.

Connect Your Dropbox Account

  1. Open Connected Accounts panel
  2. Click Connect Account
  3. Select Dropbox from Social Accounts
  4. Log in with your Dropbox credentials
  5. Click Allow

Set Up Your Dropbox Folder

  1. Sign in to Dropbox
  2. Create a folder in "/Apps/Squarespace/" using your account ID (the first part of your built domain)
  3. Create subfolders for each gallery page you want
  4. Add your images to these folders (.png, .jpg, and .gif only)

Note: To hide specific images, add an underscore (_) before the filename.

Publish Your Gallery

  1. Go to Connected Accounts
  2. Click "Publish to Squarespace" under Dropbox
  3. Find new gallery pages in the Unlinked section
  4. Drag pages into navigation sections to display them

Updating Your Gallery

Any time you make changes to your Dropbox folders:

  1. Open Connected Accounts
  2. Click "Publish to Squarespace"
  3. Wait for sync to complete

Troubleshooting

If you see "Synchronization failed" after adding many images:

  • Wait a few minutes
  • Refresh the gallery page
  • Check if new images appear

The sync process will reflect all changes made to your Dropbox folders, including deletions. Keep your folders organized to maintain your gallery structure.
