How to Create and Manage a Blog on Squarespace: Step-by-Step Guide
Blog posts in Squarespace are organized into two main components: Blog Pages (landing pages displaying multiple posts) and individual Blog Posts (each with their own URL).
Creating a Blog Page
- Open Pages panel and click + icon
- Select Blog from Collections
- Choose a layout
- Enter page title
- Customize settings (posts per page, SEO, social sharing)
Creating Blog Posts
- Navigate to blog page
- Click + in sidebar
- Add title (max 200 characters)
- Add content using text blocks
- Customize post settings:
- Featured image
- Categories and tags
- Comments
- SEO settings
- Social sharing options
Managing Posts
- Edit existing posts through Pages panel
- Set post status (Draft, Published, Scheduled)
- Add location data
- Create post excerpts
- Enable/disable comments
- Set featured posts

- Add paywall to restrict content access
- Choose paywall position:
- Blog Posts Only
- Blog Overview and Blog Posts
- Offer preview posts
