How to Display Titles and Descriptions by Template in Version 7.0
Page titles and descriptions display differently across version 7.0 templates. Here's how they appear in each template family:
Adirondack Template
- Displays below banner images on:
- Events pages
- Products pages
- Layout pages
- Consistent display on both desktop and mobile
Avenue Template
- Gallery pages: Shows when opened from an Index
- Index landing pages: Navigation titles appear below thumbnails
- Mobile and desktop display are identical
Bedford Template
- Home page: Hidden
- Products page: Above product grid
- Events page: Above event list
- Blog page: Above blog posts
- Gallery pages: Above gallery grid
Brine Template
- All pages: Above main content
- Exception: Hidden on homepage
- Consistent across devices
Five Template
- Products page: Above product grid
- Events page: Above event list
- Gallery pages: Above gallery grid
- Blog pages: Above blog posts
Version 7.1 Specific Notes:
- Page descriptions cannot be added
- Page titles can be edited but rarely appear on site
- Titles show only in browser tabs and search results
- Store page titles display above category navigation if enabled
- For other pages, add titles via block sections with text blocks
For optimal SEO:
- Add SEO titles and descriptions separately
- These appear in search results instead of page titles/descriptions
- Use clear, descriptive text that accurately represents page content
