Page titles and descriptions display differently across version 7.0 templates. Here's how they appear in each template family:

Adirondack Template

  • Displays below banner images on:
    • Events pages
    • Products pages
    • Layout pages
  • Consistent display on both desktop and mobile

Avenue Template

  • Gallery pages: Shows when opened from an Index
  • Index landing pages: Navigation titles appear below thumbnails
  • Mobile and desktop display are identical

Bedford Template

  • Home page: Hidden
  • Products page: Above product grid
  • Events page: Above event list
  • Blog page: Above blog posts
  • Gallery pages: Above gallery grid

Brine Template

  • All pages: Above main content
  • Exception: Hidden on homepage
  • Consistent across devices

Five Template

  • Products page: Above product grid
  • Events page: Above event list
  • Gallery pages: Above gallery grid
  • Blog pages: Above blog posts

Version 7.1 Specific Notes:

  • Page descriptions cannot be added
  • Page titles can be edited but rarely appear on site
  • Titles show only in browser tabs and search results
  • Store page titles display above category navigation if enabled
  • For other pages, add titles via block sections with text blocks

For optimal SEO:

  • Add SEO titles and descriptions separately
  • These appear in search results instead of page titles/descriptions
  • Use clear, descriptive text that accurately represents page content

Note: Avenue and York families also display navigation titles in key template areas.
