Prerequisites:

• Remove any password protection from your homepage
• Ensure proper third-party domain linking (wait 72 hours after linking)
• Site must be published (not in staging mode)
• Verify your primary domain if you have multiple domains

Step-by-Step Verification Process:

Add Your Domain:

1. Log in to Bing Webmaster Tools
2. Enter your domain in "Add a site"
3. Click Add

Add Site Information:

1. Complete the Web site information form
2. Add your sitemap
3. Provide a valid email address
4. Set contact preferences
5. Save changes

Verification Methods:

Tag Method (for Website Business plans):

1. Copy the HTML code from "Copy and paste a tag" section
2. Log in to your site
3. Access Code Injection panel
4. Paste HTML tag into Header field
5. Save changes
6. Return to Bing Webmaster Tools
7. Click Verify

CNAME Method (for Personal plans):

1. Copy the full CNAME record
2. Open Domains dashboard
3. Select your domain
4. Click DNS, then Add record
5. Choose CNAME from Type dropdown
6. Paste CNAME record in Host field
7. Enter verify.bing.com in Data field
8. Save changes
9. Return to Bing Webmaster Tools
10. Click Verify
