Hiding Titles and Descriptions:
You can hide titles and descriptions in these templates:
- Adirondack: Via "Show page titles and descriptions" setting
- Five: Change "Banner content" option
- Momentum: Use "Page title/description" setting (except Index pages)
- Montauk: "Hide page title" or "Hide page banner" options
- Pacific: "Show page title" toggle
- York: Individual controls for each page type
Alternative Options:
- Add Layout pages with custom title text
- Use individual page headers where supported
- Add content sections to stacked Index pages
SEO Considerations:
- SEO titles and descriptions are separate from page titles/descriptions
- Only visible in search results, not on your site
- Manage through SEO tab in page settings
- Useful for optimizing search visibility while maintaining different on-site display
Note: In version 7.1, descriptions cannot be added, but titles remain editable and visible in browser tabs and search results when no SEO title exists.
