Squarespace Flickr Block: How to Display & Troubleshoot Your Photos

Display Flickr images on your site automatically using Flickr blocks. This feature pulls your most recent Flickr photos and displays them in customizable layouts.

Important Note: Flickr blocks show your most recent images from all albums - you cannot select specific albums or photos.

Adding a Flickr Block:

  1. Edit your page/post
  2. Click Add Block or an insertion point
  3. Select Flickr from the menu
  4. Click the pencil icon to open block editor
  5. Connect your Flickr account:
    • Select "Add Account" or
    • Choose existing account from dropdown
  6. Set number of images (max 20) using Items slider
  7. Customize layout in Design tab:
    • Slideshow
    • Carousel
    • Grid
    • Stacked

Enable Auto-Sync:

  1. Open Connected Accounts
  2. Select your Flickr account
  3. Check "Download Data"
  4. Save changes

Troubleshooting

Missing Images:

  1. Open Flickr profile settings
  2. Go to Privacy & Permissions
  3. Set "Largest shared image size" to:
    • Best display size or
    • Large 2048
  4. Reconnect your Flickr account

Duplicate/Wrong Images:

  1. Open Connected Accounts
  2. Click your Flickr account
  3. Select "Reset Data"
  4. Save changes
  5. Refresh page (⌘ + R on Mac, Ctrl + R on PC)

These steps ensure your Flickr block displays correctly and stays updated with your latest photos automatically.
