Site availability settings control who can access your website. You can choose between four main options: Public, Password Protected, Private, and SSO Protected.

Public Sites

  • Accessible to all visitors and search engines
  • Ideal for active, paid websites
  • Enables online store transactions
  • Allows search engine indexing
  • Supports social media sharing

Password Protected Sites

  • Requires visitors to enter a password
  • Available for trial and paid sites
  • Useful for sharing with specific audiences

  • Only accessible to site owners and contributors
  • Perfect for sites under construction
  • Shows "Private Site" message to visitors
  • Available for trial and paid sites
  • Completely hidden from search engines

SSO Protected Sites

  • Enterprise plan feature
  • Requires authentication through SSO providers (Okta, Azure, ClassLink, Google)
  • Ideal for company websites

How to Change Site Availability:

  1. Open Site Availability panel
  2. Select desired visibility option
  3. Click Save

Additional Controls:

  • Individual page privacy settings available
  • Under Construction page option
  • Search engine visibility controls
  • AI crawler exclusion settings

Before publishing, ensure your site is ready using the site launch checklist and implement SEO best practices for better visibility.

Note: Trial sites default to Private status. Public settings are only fully functional with paid subscriptions.
