How to Add and Configure RSS Feed Blocks in Squarespace
Adding an RSS Feed Icon to Your Blog
Connect with readers by adding an RSS feed icon that links directly to your blog updates. When clicked, visitors can easily subscribe to your content through their preferred RSS reader.
How to Add an RSS Block:
- Edit your page or post
- Click Add Block or an insertion point
- Select "RSS" from the block options
- Click the pencil icon to open block editor
- Select your target blog page
- Click Apply to save changes (version 7.0+)
Enhance Your RSS Feed with FeedBurner:
- Go to feedburner.google.com and sign in
- Enter your blog/RSS URL

- Set up your feed:
- Create a title
- Choose a custom URL
- Click Next
Feed is now active
- Add FeedBurner URL to Squarespace:
- Hover over your blog title
- Click the settings icon
- Select Feeds tab
- Paste FeedBurner URL in "RSS Feed Replacement URL" field
- Save changes
Using FeedBurner creates a cleaner subscription experience and makes it easier for visitors to add your content to their RSS readers.
Your RSS block will now display an icon that, when clicked, directs visitors to either your standard RSS feed or your enhanced FeedBurner page, depending on your setup.
