How to Add and Troubleshoot Flickr Blocks in Squarespace

Before starting, ensure you have a Flickr account with the images you want to display on your website. Flickr Blocks automatically pull your most recent images from all albums.

Adding a Flickr Block:

  1. Edit your page or post
  2. Click Add Block or an insertion point
  3. Select Flickr from the menu
  4. Click the pencil icon to open block editor
  5. In Account tab, select "Add an Account" or choose existing linked account
  6. Set number of items (up to 20) using Item slider

Customizing Your Flickr Block:

  1. Open Design tab to modify layout
  2. Choose display format:
    • Slideshow
    • Carousel
    • Grid
    • Stacked
  3. Adjust design options based on selected layout
  4. Click Apply to save changes (version 7.0)

Enabling Auto-Sync:

  1. Navigate to Linked Accounts
  2. Select your Flickr account
  3. Check "Download data"
  4. Save changes

Troubleshooting Tips:

Missing Images:

  1. Access Flickr profile settings
  2. Go to Privacy & Permissions
  3. Set "Largest shared image size" to Best display size or Large 2048
  4. Reconnect Flickr account if needed

Duplicate/Incorrect Images:

  1. Open Linked Accounts
  2. Select Flickr account
  3. Click Reset data
  4. Save changes
  5. Refresh page (⌘ + R on Mac, Ctrl + R on PC)

Note: Flickr Blocks display images from all albums. You cannot select specific albums or images to display.
