Enhance your blog's engagement by integrating Disqus comments into your Squarespace site. This guide shows you how to replace the default Squarespace commenting system with Disqus's more robust features.

Important Note: Disqus comments are URL-specific. Users must access your site through the same URL to see comments. Use your secure custom domain (https) as the primary URL and add it as a trusted domain in Disqus.

Step 1: Create Your Disqus Identifier

1. Log in to Disqus
2. Click "Add Disqus to your site"
3. Click "Get Started"
4. Select "I want to install Disqus on my site"
5. Enter your website name and category
6. Click "Create site"
7. Select a plan or start a trial
8. Choose "Squarespace"
9. Copy your Disqus shortname

Step 2: Set Up Disqus on Squarespace

1. Open your site's Blog Settings panel
2. Enter your Disqus identifier
3. Click Save
4. Go to Comment Settings

Using Disqus Comments
