
How to Connect and Sync Dropbox with Squarespace
Connect your Dropbox account to Squarespace in just 3 simple steps to display your Dropbox images on Gallery Pages.
Step 1: Connect Accounts
- Navigate to "Linked Accounts"
- Click "Connect Account"
- Choose Dropbox from Social Accounts
- Sign in to Dropbox
- Click "Allow" to authorize connection
Step 2: Set Up Dropbox Folders
- Access your Dropbox account
- Create a folder in /Apps/Squarespace/ using your account ID (found before .squarespace.com)
- Inside that folder, create subfolders for each Gallery Page
- Add your images to these folders
Supported file types:
- .png
- .jpg
- .gif
Note: Add underscore (_) before filenames to prevent them from displaying on your site.
Step 3: Publish Gallery Pages
- Return to Connected Accounts panel
- Click "Publish to Squarespace" in Dropbox section
- Find new Gallery Pages in Unlinked section
- Drag pages to navigation menu sections
- Sync again to view changes
Syncing Updates
To sync new changes:
- Open "Linked Accounts"
- Click "Publish to Squarespace" in Dropbox section
Important: Deleting folders or content in Dropbox will remove them from your site.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter sync failure after adding many images:
- Wait a few minutes
- Refresh the Gallery Page
- Check if new images appear
This delay is normal for large file uploads and usually resolves automatically.
