To connect a Bluehost domain to Squarespace, follow these steps:

Step 1: Open Squarespace Domain Panel

• Navigate to Domains panel
• Click "Use my Domain"
• Enter your domain name and click arrow
• Click "Link domain"
• Select Bluehost from dropdown
• Click "Continue"

Step 2: Access Bluehost Settings

• Log in to Bluehost account
• Go to Domains section
• Locate your domain
• Click "Manage" next to Advanced DNS Records
• Select "Continue" in the popup

Step 3: Add First CNAME Record

• Create CNAME record with:
  • Host: [unique code from Squarespace]
  • Type: CNAME
  • Points to: verify.squarespace.com

Step 4: Add Second CNAME Record

• Create CNAME record with:
  • Host: www
  • Type: CNAME
  • Points to: ext-cust.squarespace.com

Step 5: Add Four A-Records Create records with:

• Host: @ (for all records)
• Type: A (for all records)
• Points to:
  1. 198.185.159.144
  2. 198.185.159.145
  3. 198.49.23.144
  4. 198.49.23.145

Important Notes:

• Keep Mail/Email host records
• Delete blank host records
• Wait 24-72 hours for changes to take effect
• Monitor progress in Squarespace DNS Settings panel
• Green tags will appear as domain links successfully

Troubleshooting:

• Use DNS lookup tool in DNS Settings panel if "Unable to verify domain ownership" appears
• Contact Bluehost support for account-specific issues
• Normal to see errors for up to 72 hours after setup
