First time setup? Connect your Network Solutions domain to Squarespace in minutes using either Nameserver Connect (recommended) or DNS Connect.

Before You Begin

• Ensure default Network Solutions nameservers are intact
• Review third-party domain connection requirements

Nameserver Connect Method (Recommended)

1. In Squarespace:

   • Open Domains menu
   • Click "Use External Domain"
   • Enter your domain name
   • Click "Connect Domain"
   • Select "Get Started" in the Network Solutions menu

2. In Network Solutions:

   • Access your domain dashboard
   • Navigate to Advanced Tools > Nameservers
   • Click "Manage"
   • Remove existing nameservers
   • Add these Squarespace nameservers:
     • connect1.squarespacedns.com
     • connect2.squarespacedns.com
   • Save changes

3. Return to Squarespace:

   • Click "Finish" in the nameservers menu
   • Click "Done"

DNS Connect Method (For Custom DNS)

1. In Squarespace:
   • Open Domains menu
   • Click "Use External Domain"
   • Enter domain name
   • Select "No, Use DNS Entries"
   • Choose Network Solutions
   • Sign in to your account
   • Click "Connect"
   • Wait for connection confirmation

Important Notes

• Connection takes 24-72 hours to complete
• Monitor progress in Squarespace DNS settings
• Temporary errors are normal during this period

Troubleshooting

If errors persist after 72 hours:

1. Reset nameservers in Network Solutions:

   • Access domain dashboard
   • Go to Advanced Tools > Nameservers
   • Restore default Network Solutions nameservers
   • Save changes

2. Use DNS Records Checker:

   • Found in Squarespace DNS Settings
   • Verifies correct CNAME and A records setup
