Squarespace Payments

• Not available for point of sale transactions

Stripe

• Processes credit/debit cards without customer accounts
• Accepts: Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, Discover (US only), and Apple Pay
• Available in select countries with currency limitations

PayPal

• Allows checkout via PayPal and Venmo accounts
• Offers broad international support
• Ideal for regions where credit cards are less common

Square (US Only)

• Available for in-person payments via Squarespace POS
• Requires Commerce Basic or Advanced plans
• Processes both cash and card payments

Afterpay/Clearpay

• Offers zero-interest installment payments
• Requires Stripe or Squarespace Payments
• Processing fee: 6% + $0.30/£0.30 per transaction

Processing Fees

• Each processor has unique fee structures
• Rates vary by country and payment method
• Check processor documentation for specific rates in your region

For optimal coverage, consider connecting multiple payment processors to accommodate different customer preferences and payment methods. Choose based on your location, target market, and desired payment options.

Note: When connecting Squarespace Payments, it will replace Stripe as your primary processor, though existing Stripe subscriptions will continue processing through your Stripe account.
