Network Solutions lets you link your domain to Squarespace using either name servers or DNS records. Name server linking is recommended unless you have custom DNS records.

Name Server Linking (Recommended Method)

1. In your Network Solutions account:

   • Open Advanced Tools
   • Select Name Servers
   • Click Manage
   • Delete existing name servers
   • Add these Squarespace name servers:
     • connect1.squarespacedns.com
     • connect2.squarespacedns.com
   • Click Save

2. In Squarespace:

   • Go to Domains panel
   • Click Use My Domain
   • Enter your domain name
   • Click Link Domain
   • Follow the connection wizard

DNS Linking (Alternative Method)

1. In Squarespace:

   • Go to Domains panel
   • Click Use My Domain
   • Enter domain name
   • Choose "No, use DNS records"
   • Select Network Solutions
   • Follow linking instructions

2. In Network Solutions:

   • Log into your account
   • Update DNS records as specified
   • Save changes

Important Notes:

• Linking takes 24-72 hours to complete
• Keep default name servers until starting the process
• Check linking status in Squarespace DNS Settings
• Temporary errors are normal during the 72-hour propagation period

Troubleshooting

If errors persist after 72 hours:

1. Reset to default Network Solutions name servers
2. Unlink domain from Squarespace
3. Start fresh with manual linking
4. Use DNS checker tool to verify records
5. Contact Network Solutions support if needed
