
How to Recover Deleted Pages and Blog Posts in Squarespace
Recovering deleted content is possible within 30 days of deletion. After this period, content cannot be restored. Here's how to recover your content:
Restore Pages:
- Open Pages panel
- Click Trash at bottom
- Hover over page title and click Restore
- Confirm restoration
Restored pages appear in "Not linked" section.
Restore Blog Posts (Version 7.1):
- Open Pages panel
- Click Blog page
- Click Trash
- Hover over post, click "...", then Restore
- Confirm restoration
For multiple posts: Check boxes next to posts and click Restore.
Restore Blog Posts (Version 7.0):
- Open Pages panel
- Click Blog page
- Click trash icon
- Hover over post and click Restore
- Confirm restoration
Republishing Restored Posts:
Version 7.1:
- Click post in sidebar
- Hover over preview, click Edit
- Make changes and click Publish
Version 7.0:
- Hover over post in sidebar, click Edit
- Make changes and click Save & Publish
Non-Recoverable Content:
- Text (after editor is closed)
- Blocks (after editor is closed)
- Most collection items (except blog posts)
- Page sections
- Content deleted over 30 days ago
- Deleted member-only sites
- Deleted code (Code blocks, Code Injection, Custom CSS)
Note: For code preservation, maintain backups in external documents. When restoring pages or posts containing Code blocks, the code within will be restored automatically.
Remember: Use Undo while editor is still open to recover recently deleted content.
