Selling Digital Downloads - A Complete Guide
Digital downloads let you sell electronic files like ebooks, music, PDFs, and artwork. Customers receive a download link valid for 24 hours after purchase. If the link expires, they automatically get a new one.
File Requirements:
- Maximum file size: 300 MB
- One file per product (multiple files must be zipped)
- Remove special characters from filenames
- SSL must be enabled on your site
- Cannot set quantities or variants
- Not available for subscriptions
Creating a Download Product:
- Select "Download" as product type
Download file types in Squarespace
- Add Product Details
- Enter name and description
- Upload product images

- Add Categories and Tags

Troubleshooting: If you see "Cannot save product," ensure you've uploaded your file:
