Import Products from Etsy, Shopify, and Big Cartel to Squarespace - Complete Guide
Products from Etsy, Shopify, and Big Cartel can be transferred to Squarespace through a one-time import process. This guide explains what you can import and how to do it effectively.
Import Limitations
- Version 7.1: Up to 10,000 physical and service-based products per store page
- Version 7.0: Up to 200 products per store page
- Maximum 100 variants per product
- Etsy imports limited to 500 products
What Can Be Imported
From Etsy:
- Description
- Images
- Inventory
- Price
- Shipping dimensions
- Title
From Shopify:
- Description
- Images
- Price
- SKU
- Title
- Variants
- Weight
From Big Cartel:
- Description
- Price
- Product name
- Images
Import Process
Etsy Import:
- Add a Store Page
- Go to Products and Services → Products → Import
- Select Etsy and click Get Started
- Choose Store Page destination
- Start import and log into Etsy
- Grant access and confirm currency settings
Shopify Import:
- Download inventory .csv file from Shopify
- Go to Products and Services → Products → Import
- Select Shopify
- Upload .csv file
- Wait for success message
Big Cartel Import:
- Go to Products and Services → Products → Import
- Select Big Cartel
- Enter complete Big Cartel URL
- Wait for success message
Important Notes:
- Import process doesn't sync continuously
- Digital downloadable products cannot be imported
- Inventory updates don't reflect across platforms
- Imported products appear on a new store page in the Unlinked section
- Ensure Etsy's Vacation mode is off for proper import
After Import Steps:
- Complete store setup
- Set up product subscriptions if needed
- Add product reviews
- Edit products and organize store page
- Create discount codes for existing gift cards
- Import shipping profiles (Etsy)
- Upload digital products (Version 7.0)
