Integrate Forms with Zapier: Automated Workflow Guide

Zapier helps automate form submissions from your Squarespace site by connecting them to over 1,000 applications. Form submissions can trigger various automated actions, streamlining your workflow.

Prerequisites:

  • Squarespace plan: Core, Plus, Advanced, Business, Commerce Basic, or Commerce Advanced
  • Zapier account (Free plan available, Premium starts at $20)

Productivity:

  • Basecamp tasks
  • Trello cards
  • Google Calendar events
  • Slack notifications

Mailing Lists:

  • ConvertKit
  • Constant Contact
  • Hubspot mailing lists

CRM:

  • Salesforce deals
  • Hubspot CRM leads
  • Pipedrive deals
  • Insightly leads
  • Zendesk tickets

Setup Instructions:

  1. Connect Your Form:

    • Edit your Form Block, Newsletter, or Cover Page
    • Click Storage > Zapier > Connect
  2. Generate API Key:

    • Open Developer Tools panel
    • Click Developer API Keys > Generate Key
    • Name the key and select Forms permissions
    • Copy and save your API key securely
  3. Create a Zap:

    • Log into Zapier.com
    • Click Create Zap
    • Search for Squarespace
    • Select "New Form Submission"
    • Connect to Squarespace using your API key

  1. Configure Action:
    • Choose your target application
    • Set up the desired automation
    • Test the connection
    • Activate your Zap

Verification: After successful connection, the Storage tab will display "x Zaps connected" where x is the number of connected Zaps.
