Customer reviews build trust and increase revenue by allowing customers to share feedback on physical products, downloads, services, and subscriptions (excluding gift cards).

Review Collection Process

  • Customers receive automated review request emails 14 days after purchase
  • They can write up to 1500 characters and give 1-5 star ratings
  • Multiple products in one order get a single email with individual rating options
  • Reviews window stays open for 120 days
  • Point of Sale purchases don't trigger review requests

Email Customization

  1. Access automation dashboard
  2. Select "Request Customer Reviews"
  3. Click "Action" then "Edit Email"
  4. Customize content, subject line, and preview text
  5. Send test email to verify appearance

Enabling Reviews

  • Activate through automation dashboard
  • Applies to future purchases and orders from past 14 days
  • Customize email notifications for new reviews
  • Select display options for product and shop reviews
  • Toggle visibility of requested and imported reviews

Display Options

  • Product Reviews: Shows ratings and reviews for specific products
  • Shop Reviews: Displays all reviews across your shop
  • Combined View: Separates product and shop reviews into tabs

Review Management

  • Monitor reviews through Customer Reviews menu
  • View publication date, ratings, reviews, customer info, and products
  • Toggle review visibility between Public and Hidden
  • Cannot delete reviews but can hide them
  • Reviews persist even if products are edited or deleted
  • Customer reviews cannot be edited after submission

Important Notes

  • Reviews cannot be transferred between websites or exported
  • Customers can only review once per product
  • Review requests aren't sent for subscription renewals
  • Reviews are automatically deleted if customer contact is deleted
  • Direct response to reviews isn't possible
  • Reviews remain visible after downgrading subscription

The 120-day review window and automated email system ensure fresh, relevant feedback while maintaining a streamlined customer experience.
