- Blog content, comments, and images are typically preserved
- Post URLs are maintained where possible
- Product images import alongside product details
- Image metadata can be imported for galleries
Mailing List Migration
You can:
- Import mailing lists via CSV files from other email marketing services
- Export individual mailing lists in CSV format
- Export all contacts including customers, subscribers, members, and donors
Important Limitations
- No direct content transfer between Squarespace 7 sites (except products)
- No bulk image or video export functionality
- Individual images can be downloaded from the Resource Library
- Content imports create static copies (no syncing between platforms)
- Exported Squarespace content cannot be imported to another Squarespace site
For exporting content when leaving Squarespace, you can generate an XML file containing all compatible content. Product data can be exported to CSV format for use with other platforms or different Squarespace sites.
