Email campaigns are single messages sent to mailing lists. Here's how to send them effectively:

Prerequisites:

  • Active mailing list
  • Verified sender profile
  • Email draft ready
  • Physical mailing address added
  • Domain verified (for custom emails)
  • Monthly sending limits not exceeded

Sending Your Campaign:

  1. Add Essential Information:
  • Navigate to Email Campaigns > Drafts
  • Click the pencil icon on your draft
  • Add compelling subject line and preview text
  • Select recipients (mailing lists, segments, or tags)
  • Choose sender profile
  • Verify legal address in footer
  1. Test Your Campaign:
  • Send a test email to yourself
  • Check all links and buttons
  • Review content for errors
  • Verify image display
  • Confirm unsubscribe link visibility
  • Test on multiple devices
  1. Send or Schedule:

Immediate Sending:

  • Click Schedule in sidebar
  • Enable "Start Immediately"
  • Click "Send to Recipients"

Scheduled Sending:

  • Click Schedule in sidebar
  • Disable "Send Immediately"
  • Set date and time
  • Click "Schedule a Campaign"
  • Confirm scheduling

Campaign Review Process:

  • Some campaigns may show "Under Review"
  • Standard security check
  • Usually takes minutes, can extend to hours
  • Automatically sends after approval

Tracking Results:

  • Monitor opens and clicks in dashboard
  • View detailed analytics in "Sent" section
  • Compare with previous campaigns

Important Notes:

  • Cannot cancel after sending
  • Cannot resend to specific subscribers
  • Time zone based on device settings
  • New subscribers may need to confirm subscription
  • Campaigns using free email services show "via squarespace-mail.com"
  • Use custom email with verified domain to remove "via" tag

If sending issues occur, contact support rather than attempting to resend to avoid duplicates.
