A URL slug is the unique address of a page or collection item on your website. Here's how to manage URL slugs effectively:
Finding URL Slugs
You can locate a page's URL slug through:
- Full preview mode (expand arrow in top corner)
- Private/incognito browsing
- Page/item settings menu
URL Formatting Guidelines
- Must be lowercase (uppercase causes 404 errors)
- Length: 3-250 characters for pages, 3-200 for blog posts/events
- Only hyphens (-) allowed as special characters
- Cannot reuse product URL slugs after deletion
- Must be unique across live pages
Reserved URL Slugs
Some slugs are reserved for system use, including:
- account
- api
- cart
- checkout
- search
- storage
- universal
Changing URL Slugs
To modify a page URL:
- Open Pages panel
- Hover over page and click Settings
- Update URL Slug field
