New malware report details preview options and visual monitoring features
To preview your Squarespace site's content across different devices and browsers effectively, you have several options available:
Quick Preview While Editing
- Changes appear instantly on the right side of the screen during editing
- Allows real-time review without switching modes
- Mobile view shows automatically when browser window is minimized
Full Page Preview On Computer:
- Click the arrow in top right corner (top left for version 7.0)
- Shows full-screen preview without editing panels
- Displays actual page URLs in browser address bar

On Mobile App:
- Preview bar appears at bottom of screen
- Tap to expand or close preview
- iPad users can tap full-screen icon to hide menu
- Switch between mobile and desktop views using computer icon
Blog Post Preview
- Save post as draft or publish
- Click post title in sidebar
- Use expand arrow for full preview
- Return to editing via arrow
Advanced Preview Methods:
- Device View: Check appearance across different devices
- Incognito Mode: See site exactly as visitors do
- Browser Zoom: Use Ctrl/⌘ with +/- to check wider views
Preview Without Publishing:
- Disable pages temporarily
- Add password protection
- Move pages to Unlinked section
- Test template changes before applying
- Password protect entire site if needed
