A site title represents your brand identity online - whether it's your name, business name, or blog name. It appears in your site's header and can be replaced with a logo.

Editing Your Site Title (Version 7.1):

  • Click Edit at the top left of site preview
  • Hover over header and click Edit Site Header
  • Click the site title/logo, then click pencil icon
  • Enter your site title (max 120 characters)
  • Click Save to preserve changes

For Version 7.0:

  • Open Design panel and click Logo and Title
  • Update Site Title field
  • Add an optional tagline
  • Save changes to publish

Using the Squarespace App:

  • Tap More > Design
  • Select Logo and Title
  • Edit title and save

Display Customization:

  • Adjust position through header layout settings
  • Modify font style and size in Site Styles panel
  • Change colors using site-level or section-specific controls
  • Clicking the title always redirects to homepage

Logo Implementation:

  • Upload a logo to replace text title
  • Keep text in Site Title field for alt text
  • Logo appears in same position as text title
  • Some templates show text title on mobile devices

SEO Considerations:

  • Configure SEO title format for search results and browser tabs
  • Can differ from displayed site title for optimization
  • Useful when using logo or adding keywords
  • Submit changes to Google Search Console for re-indexing

Important Notes:

  • Avoid using angle brackets in titles
  • Title length should not exceed 120 characters
  • Custom redirect functionality requires custom code (unsupported)
  • Mobile display may vary by template

Remember to maintain consistency across all platforms while ensuring your site title effectively represents your brand and supports your SEO goals.
